Golf course core
A golf course sits inside the residential fabric. Its open fairways appear as a calm blank shape surrounded by winding streets, and they anchor the centre of the composition.

Fairwood Map Poster & Print
Fairwood is an unincorporated community in King County, on the higher ground southeast of Renton. From above it doesn't look like a traditional town. There is no main street or old centre. Instead, curving residential roads branch into loops and cul-de-sacs, arranged around a golf course and broken up by stands of evergreen forest typical of the Puget Sound lowlands.
The terrain explains much of that layout. To the north the land drops toward the Cedar River valley, and to the east the forest opens around Lake Youngs, a reservoir that is part of Seattle's water supply. Arterial roads run along the plateau, and the neighbourhoods fill the spaces between them in the organic pattern of late twentieth-century suburban planning.
A Fairwood map poster is less about monuments than about texture. The looping streets create a dense, almost botanical pattern, like veins in a leaf. For people who grew up here, finding their own cul-de-sac among those curves tends to be what makes the print personal.

Cul-de-sac patterns
Short dead-end streets branch off curving collectors throughout Fairwood. Together they form a repeating, organic motif that looks very different from a grid city.
Toward Lake Youngs
East of the neighbourhoods, the streets give way to forest around Lake Youngs. The reservoir's shoreline gives the map a clear natural edge.

Zakaj Fairwood
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Suburban places often matter more to people than their reputation suggests. Fairwood is where many families in the Renton area raised children, and a map of it records the streets of an ordinary, important life. It suits a hallway or a child's first apartment.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be edited, so you can add a street name, a move-in date or a family surname. There are five styles, from Classic black & white to Blueprint and Sand. A free 900 px watermarked preview lets you check the design before buying.
