Farmington Map Poster & Print
Farmington lies in the north-west corner of New Mexico, close to the Four Corners, where New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado meet. The city stands at the confluence of the San Juan, Animas and La Plata rivers, which is unusual for the dry high desert around it.
On a map, the rivers shape the city. Green, tree-lined corridors follow the water through town, and the street grid bends to fit around them. Beyond the edges, the desert opens into mesas and washes. The Navajo Nation lies to the west, and the rock formation of Shiprock stands in the distance.
A Farmington map poster suits people who grew up in San Juan County, those who work in the region’s energy industry, and travellers who used the city as a base for exploring the Four Corners and its landscapes.

River corridors
Parks and trails follow the rivers through town, forming long, narrow ribbons of open space that divide the street grid into distinct sections.
Desert margins
Beyond the built-up area, the grid gives way to mesas, washes and scattered roads, framing the city as an island of streets in the high desert.
