Highway spine
The national highway runs through Gajuwaka as its strongest line, collecting side streets from both directions and linking the suburb to central Visakhapatnam and the coast further south.

Gajuwaka Map Poster & Print
Gajuwaka lies in the southwestern part of Greater Visakhapatnam, on the Andhra Pradesh coast of the Bay of Bengal. Once a separate municipality, it is now part of the city's municipal corporation, and the map shows why: dense residential streets merge with neighbouring localities without a clear break, while the national highway draws a firm line through the area toward the city centre.
The surroundings are defined by industry. The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant spreads over a vast site to the southwest, and the port and heavy industries of the harbour district are close by. On a Gajuwaka map poster these large complexes appear as broad, quiet zones with few lines, in sharp contrast to the fine grain of lanes where most residents live.
The coastal hills of Visakhapatnam add another layer. Steep, largely roadless slopes break up the urban fabric and leave pale open areas on the map, which help the crowded neighbourhoods read more clearly. A wider frame shows how the suburb relates to the industrial belt and the sea. A tighter crop keeps the focus on Gajuwaka's own dense residential streets.

Steel plant grounds
The huge site of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant forms a large, sparsely lined area beside the suburb, a stark geometric counterweight to the dense residential blocks.
Hills and harbour
Green hills and the industrial waterfront frame the neighbourhood, so the built-up streets appear as a concentrated mass held between rising ground and the Bay of Bengal.
