Gardner Map Poster & Print
Gardner lies in south-western Johnson County, Kansas, on the edge of the Kansas City metropolitan area. From above, a small historic core sits on the old section grid, surrounded by newer subdivisions with curving streets and cul-de-sacs. Beyond them the land is still open prairie and farmland, divided into squares by mile-line roads, with Gardner Lake a short way to the north.
The town is known as the place where the trails divided. Just west of Gardner, travellers on the Santa Fe Trail continued south-west while those heading for Oregon and California turned north-west. Today the area has become a logistics hub, with large distribution buildings near the intermodal rail yard in neighbouring Edgerton.
A Gardner map poster combines the straight lines of the Kansas grid with the looping streets of newer neighbourhoods. The open space at the edges gives the composition room to breathe, and the highway corridor adds a firm diagonal feel. It is a simple, well-structured print of a town at a historic crossroads.

Mile-line grid
Country roads run on the square mile grid across the surrounding prairie, giving the map a strong, orderly structure at its edges.
New subdivisions
Around the old centre, residential areas with curving streets and cul-de-sacs add softer shapes to the otherwise rectangular layout.
