Compact town core
The oldest part of Gothara shows up as a small, dense tangle of lanes. Its irregular pattern contrasts clearly with the straighter roads that were added later around the edges.

Gothara Map Poster & Print
Gothara is a small town in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, in the northeastern part of the state. On a map it looks modest and compact. A dense cluster of lanes forms the centre, and a few longer roads run out from it toward neighbouring settlements. With a population of roughly seventeen thousand, the whole town fits comfortably on a single sheet.
This part of Rajasthan belongs to Shekhawati, a historic region known for its painted havelis and for its merchant families, many of whom later moved to India's large commercial cities. The land here is semi-arid. On paper that shows up as wide open space around the built area, with farm tracks and field edges giving the empty areas a faint texture instead of a dense street pattern.
A Gothara map poster keeps things simple: the tight knot of streets at the centre, the roads leaving it, and the quiet space between this town and the next. The contrast between the dense core and the open land around it is the main point of the design. That suits a place that is better known to the people who come from it than to anyone passing through.

Roads to neighbours
A handful of roads leave the town in different directions, linking it to nearby villages and larger centres in Jhunjhunu district. On the map they look like thin lines running out across open ground.
Semi-arid surroundings
Around the town, the dry farmland of Shekhawati appears as broad, quiet space. Field boundaries and tracks add light detail, so the settlement stands out as a clear shape against it.

Zakaj Gothara
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For families with roots in Gothara, and there are many across India and abroad because Shekhawati families have long moved away for work, this map is a quiet reminder of home. It records the lanes of a childhood or the street of an ancestral house without needing any explanation.
You can personalise the poster with your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or a meaningful date, and a coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the colours of the Rajasthan landscape especially well.
