Vistula bend
The river curves along the district's southern edge. Its embankments add a smooth arc that frames the street pattern above it.

Grzegórzki Map Poster & Print
Grzegórzki is one of Kraków's inner districts. It starts just east of the Old Town and runs toward the Vistula, which bends along its southern side. From above it is a mix of patterns: older tenement blocks near the centre, wide traffic arteries, open green strips and riverside land. It shows the point where historic Kraków gives way to the twentieth-century city.
The district is shaped by its main roads. Large roundabouts, including Rondo Mogilskie and Rondo Grzegórzeckie, act as hubs for avenues and tram lines heading east and toward the river. The Vistula embankments give the southern edge a long curved line, and the parks and allotments add softer, unbuilt areas. Together they give the district a varied, readable plan.
A Grzegórzki map poster shows a part of Kraków most visitors pass through without naming. For people who live there, it is the neighbourhood that matters. In black and white, the curve of the Vistula, the circular junctions and the mix of grid and irregular blocks make an engaging composition that is still clearly Kraków.

Great roundabouts
Large circular junctions collect avenues and tram lines. On the map they appear as distinctive rings that tie the district together.
Edge of the Old Town
To the west the district meets the historic centre. There the older dense blocks give way to wider, newer streets.
