Valley settlement
The town fills the flatter ground available, so its outline follows the shape of the land rather than a regular grid.

Guanba Map Poster & Print
Guanba lies in the southern part of Chongqing municipality, a landscape of steep hills, narrow valleys and terraced slopes. On a map the town appears as a compact cluster of streets fitted into the available flat ground. Roads bend to follow the contours instead of crossing them, and the built-up area thins quickly as the land rises around it.
Throughout this part of Chongqing, terrain decides where people build and how they travel. Settlements grow along valley floors and river courses, and roads switch back and forth to climb between them. Guanba's map reflects that pattern, with a dense core and a few long routes curving away through the hills.
A Guanba map poster shows a place shaped by topography rather than by planning. The irregular street network, the winding roads and the open space of the surrounding slopes make a composition that feels organic and unmistakably mountainous, even in simple black and white.

Winding roads
Routes leaving town curve and switch back through the hills, adding strong, flowing lines to the edges of the map.
Hillside space
Steep slopes around the town remain largely unbuilt, which frames the compact centre with generous open space on the poster.
