Gulu Map Poster & Print
Gulu lies in the mountainous northeast of Chongqing, a municipality in southwest China known for its steep terrain and deep river valleys. In country like this, flat land is scarce, and towns fit themselves into whatever space the valleys allow. On a map, Gulu's streets follow the ground closely. They bend with the slopes instead of forming a regular grid.
The surrounding hills are cut by small rivers and streams, and roads wind along the valley floors and up the hillsides in tight curves. Farming here has traditionally used terraces carved into the slopes. Settlements tend to be long and narrow, strung out along roads and watercourses. Houses often climb the hillside above the main street.
A Gulu map poster captures a town shaped entirely by its terrain. The winding lines of roads and streams, the compact built-up area and the empty spaces of the mountains around it make an organic composition. It is a very different kind of map from the grids of the plains, and it shows how closely the town follows the land.

Zakaj Gulu
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For people from the mountains of northeastern Chongqing, a map of Gulu brings the town's winding streets to a new home in the city or abroad. The flowing lines make a striking image, even for those who have never been there.
Add a title in pinyin or English, a subtitle with a family name or a date, and the town's coordinates. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir makes the valley lines stand out especially well.
