Broad, straight avenues divide the city into large regular blocks, giving the map a strong geometric rhythm that works especially well in the Blueprint style.

Ha'il Map Poster & Print
Ha'il lies in north-central Saudi Arabia, in a basin framed by two granite mountain ranges, the Aja to the west and the Salma to the southeast. The city grew as an oasis and a stop on routes crossing the Arabian Peninsula, and it later became the seat of the Al Rashid emirate. Today its layout is dominated by long, wide avenues and large, regular blocks.
The surrounding region is known for its ancient rock art. The sites at Jubbah and Shuwaymis, both in Ha'il Region, are listed together as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for their thousands of carved figures. Ha'il is also associated with Hatim al-Tai, the pre-Islamic poet whose generosity became proverbial across the Arab world.
A Ha'il map poster emphasises structure and space. Wide roads run in clean straight lines, dividing the city into generous rectangles, while dry watercourses and open desert ground leave pale gaps around the edges. The rising mass of the Aja range to the west gives the setting a clear sense of place, even when drawn in simple lines.

Aja mountains
The granite ridges west of the city form a natural boundary, with streets thinning out and stopping where the rocky terrain begins.
Wadis and open ground
Seasonal dry riverbeds and undeveloped desert cut through and around the suburbs, leaving soft blank spaces within the otherwise orderly layout.
