The Leie
The river runs diagonally through the municipality, straightened in places over time, and forms the backbone around which the older centre and industrial areas are arranged.

Harelbeke Map Poster & Print
Harelbeke sits in the valley of the Leie in West Flanders, close enough to Kortrijk that the two built-up areas nearly meet. The river crosses the municipality diagonally, and the town grew along its banks and along the old roads leading out toward Ghent and the countryside. The result is a layout of long radiating streets and denser blocks near the water.
In cycling, the name is familiar well beyond Belgium: the spring classic long known as E3 Harelbeke starts and finishes here, sending riders over the short, steep climbs of the Flemish hills. The Leie was once central to the region's flax industry, and industrial sites along its banks still shape parts of the map.
A Harelbeke map poster balances the curve of the river against the straighter lines of roads and railway. It is a working town rather than a postcard, and that is part of its appeal: engineered water, industrial plots, residential streets and fields at the edges, all rendered with the same clean line. It rewards anyone who knows the place street by street.

Race start and finish
The centre hosts the start and finish of the E3 spring classic, and fans can trace the route outward along the roads that leave town toward the hills.
Edge with Kortrijk
To the southwest, Harelbeke's streets merge almost seamlessly with those of Kortrijk, so the map shows one continuous urban fabric broken mainly by the river.

Zakaj Harelbeke
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Cycling fans hang Harelbeke as a reminder of standing by the roadside on a cold spring day. Locals hang it because it is home, a town of the Leie that rarely gets a map of its own on the wall.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, so the poster can mark a race year, a family address or a move. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand; Blueprint suits the river's engineered lines well.
