Winding lanes
Hartley's roads curve and branch organically, many ending in closes. Together they form an informal, hand-drawn looking network across the poster.

Hartley Map Poster & Print
Hartley sits in northwest Kent, south of Longfield and within easy reach of Dartford and the Thames. It is a village that grew outward over the twentieth century, and its map shows it clearly: a loose network of lanes and residential roads, with houses set back behind gardens and larger plots breaking up the pattern.
The countryside is never far away. Fields, hedgerows and patches of woodland press in on all sides, and narrow country lanes wander off toward neighbouring hamlets. The ground rises toward the North Downs, and the road layout follows gentle folds in the land rather than any strict plan.
A Hartley map poster is about that soft, meandering quality. There are no grand avenues or dense blocks, just curving roads, closes and footpaths that feel domestic in scale. In monochrome, the outline of the village against surrounding green space becomes a clear and pleasing shape on the wall.

Garden-scale plots
Large gardens and spaced houses keep the village's footprint loose. The poster shows lighter, airier street patterns than a typical town.
Countryside edges
Fields and woodland surround the village on every side. Their empty space frames the built-up area and gives the map a calm, rural border.
