Highland Park Map Poster & Print
Highland Park lies along the shore of Lake Michigan, about 25 miles north of downtown Chicago. The city sits on high bluffs above the water, and its map is shaped by a series of deep, wooded ravines that cut down to the lake. Streets bend around them, producing a pattern of curves and cul-de-sacs rather than a strict grid.
The city is home to the Ravinia Festival, often described as the oldest outdoor music festival in the United States and the summer home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Highland Park also has several houses by Frank Lloyd Wright, including the Ward W. Willits House, widely regarded as one of his first mature Prairie-style designs.
A Highland Park map poster captures the contrast between the straight edge of the lakefront and the flowing lines of the ravines, with the railway and main roads running north to south through town. It is a refined, detailed composition that suits both long-time residents and people who remember summer evenings at Ravinia.

Wooded ravines
Deep ravines wind inland from the lake, and the streets curve to avoid them, creating an organic, flowing pattern that sets Highland Park apart from gridded suburbs.
Ravinia grounds
The festival's park appears as a green space beside the railway in the south of the city, a recognisable landmark for anyone who has attended a summer concert.
