Hill-hugging streets
The town's streets follow valley floors and bend around slopes, fitting the hilly terrain. This gives the map a curving, organic pattern instead of a straight grid.

Honghu Map Poster & Print
Honghu lies in the hilly country of Chongqing municipality, far from the dense towers of the central city. The landscape here is made of low hills, narrow valleys and slopes shaped over generations into terraced fields. The town's streets fit into the terrain, following valley floors and bending around the hills, instead of forming a flat, regular grid.
On a map, this gives a distinctive look. The main road through town traces a curving line, and side streets branch off where the ground allows. The built area is compact, gathered where the land is flattest. Around it, country roads wind across the hillsides towards villages and farmland, often doubling back on themselves as they climb.
A Honghu map poster captures the quiet side of Chongqing: a small town in a landscape still shaped by farming and slopes. The composition is made of curving roads, the town's compact cluster of streets, and the fine lines of paths across the hills. For someone with family here, it is a direct and personal view of home, far from the city skyline most people associate with Chongqing.

Winding country roads
Roads leaving the town curve and double back as they cross the hills towards villages. They are long, flowing lines across the outer parts of the poster.
Compact centre
The built-up area gathers on the flattest ground available, forming a dense, clearly defined core. It is the natural focal point in a landscape of slopes.

Zakaj Honghu
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many people from rural Chongqing now live in big cities, far from the hills they grew up in. A map of Honghu brings back the main street, the road home and the shape of the valley, and it makes a thoughtful gift for a family.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, including a name in your preferred wording or a date. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Classic keeps the winding roads clear.
