Old village core
The original village centre survives as a small cluster of older streets, less regular than the housing around it and easy to pick out in fine line.

Humberstone Map Poster & Print
Humberstone lies on the eastern side of Leicester in the English Midlands. It began as a separate village, and its old centre is still recognisable on the map as a knot of irregular streets. Around it, twentieth-century housing spreads in curving crescents and cul-de-sacs, the suburban pattern that absorbed the village into the growing city.
The area includes Humberstone Garden Suburb, an early twentieth-century development built by a co-operative society on garden city principles. Its gently curving roads and generous plots stand out from the terraced grids closer to the city centre. The contrast between these planned streets and the older lanes gives the neighbourhood a layered look from above.
To the west the streets tighten toward central Leicester, while to the east the city soon gives way to open country. A Humberstone map poster captures that transition in a single frame, showing a place where village, garden suburb and modern estates sit side by side, each with its own recognisable street geometry.

Garden suburb
Humberstone Garden Suburb was built in the early twentieth century by a co-operative society. Its curving roads and spacious layout follow garden city ideals and read clearly in print.
Edge of the city
Humberstone sits toward the eastern fringe of Leicester, so the map shows dense urban streets on one side and the approach to more open land on the other.

Zakaj Humberstone
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Leicester families, students who once rented here and anyone who has moved away from the East Midlands often look for a map of the exact neighbourhood rather than the whole city. Humberstone is small enough to show in detail, street by street.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so the poster can mark a first home, a family address or a year. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room it will hang in.
