Valley-bound centre
The densest streets sit where the ground is flattest. This gives the town a compact, slightly elongated core instead of a spreading grid.

Huolu Map Poster & Print
Huolu lies in the southeastern part of the Chongqing municipality. This is a region of high ridges, deep river valleys and limestone uplands, far from the dense towers of the central city. Towns here grow where the land allows. On a map that means narrow built-up strips along valley floors, with roads that follow the contours instead of cutting across them.
From above, the town's streets gather into a compact core, and the roads leaving it bend sharply as they climb or follow watercourses. Terraced fields and wooded slopes fill much of the area around it, and the pattern of settlement thins quickly past the town edge.
A Huolu map poster turns this mountain setting into a clean graphic. The winding roads make long, looping lines that contrast with the tight centre, and a wider frame shows how completely the terrain shapes where people live in this part of Chongqing.

Contour-following roads
Roads out of town curve and switch back with the hillsides. On a monochrome print they read as long, flowing lines.
Mountain surroundings
Past the edge of town, sparse tracks and scattered hamlets show the steep, rural terrain typical of southeastern Chongqing.
