Hurlingham Map Poster & Print
Hurlingham lies in the western part of Greater Buenos Aires. It is one of the partidos that make up the continuous urban area around the capital. Its map is a patchwork of rectangular grids, each aligned slightly differently, meeting along railway lines and main roads. Larger green spaces, sports grounds and clubs sit between them and open up the otherwise dense suburban fabric.
The name comes from the Hurlingham Club, founded by British residents in the late nineteenth century and named after the club in London. Polo, golf and other British sports took root here, and the club grounds still show on the map as a broad open area. The railway shaped the district's growth, and neighbourhoods formed around the stations along the line.
A Hurlingham map poster captures an unusual mix: the everyday grid of a Buenos Aires suburb and the wide, irregular shapes of its sports grounds. It makes sense for people who grew up here, for members of its clubs and for anyone who knows the train ride out from the city.

Shifting grids
The grids of neighbouring districts meet at slight angles along roads and railway tracks. This gives the map a subtle, layered geometry typical of the Buenos Aires suburbs.
Railway spine
A railway line crosses the district, and the areas around its stations act as small local centres, where streets and shops are packed more closely.

Zakaj Hurlingham
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Hurlingham is the kind of suburb people stay attached to: the club, the plaza by the station, the street where the family house stood. A map poster holds all of that in one quiet image, and it looks just as at home in a flat in Palermo as in a house in Europe.
Write your own title and subtitle, adjust the coordinates line, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital pack includes six sizes, among them 50×70 cm and A2, each as a PNG and a print-ready PDF.
