Valley setting
The town fills the floor of a valley, and its outer streets curve along the lower slopes. The street network is shaped by the terrain far more than by any planned grid.

Huşi Map Poster & Print
Huşi lies in the east of Romania's Vaslui County, not far from the Prut River and the border with the Republic of Moldova. From above the town fits neatly into a valley, with streets converging on a central core and thinning as the ground rises. The terrain gives the map its shape. Roads follow contours instead of a grid and bend out toward the surrounding hills.
The town has been an episcopal seat for centuries. Its Orthodox cathedral, dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, dates to the reign of Stephen the Great at the end of the fifteenth century. On the map the older centre shows as a denser tangle of short streets. Newer residential blocks sit around it in a looser arrangement, and roads head out toward neighbouring villages.
Huşi is also known for wine. The slopes around the town have long been planted with vineyards, and the local white variety, Zghihară de Huşi, carries the town's name. A Huşi map poster reflects that setting. The town sits as a clear, contained form in a mostly open landscape, with tracks running out across the hills.

Historic centre
Around the cathedral and the older quarters, streets are shorter and closer together. This denser pattern stands out clearly against the more open residential areas around it.
Roads to the hills
Several roads leave the town and fan out through the surrounding countryside and vineyard slopes. On the map they draw long lines away from the compact core.
