Ilula Map Poster & Print
Ilula is a town in the Iringa Region of Tanzania's southern highlands. On the map it's shaped by the main road that runs through it. Buildings line the route in a long band, and shorter streets branch off to either side before the town gives way to farmland.
The surroundings are rolling highland country, with cultivated plots, scattered homesteads and tracks winding over the slopes. Like many roadside towns in the region, Ilula grew as a stopping point and trading place along the highway, and its layout still reflects that linear logic.
An Ilula map poster shows that clearly: a strong road line through the centre of the frame, the town built up along it, and the lighter pattern of rural paths around. It's an honest portrait of a working highland town, and a meaningful one for anyone who grew up there.

Side streets
Short streets and lanes branch off the main road into residential areas, giving the town a comb-like shape on the map.
Highland farmland
Beyond the built-up area, tracks and field boundaries cover the rolling countryside of the Iringa highlands in a fine, irregular pattern.
