Winding local roads
Roads curve along the contours of the midland hills and meet at small junctions. With no dominant straight axis, they form a flowing, irregular network across the whole poster.

Iramallūr Map Poster & Print
Iramallūr is a locality in the eastern part of Ernakulam district, Kerala, in the midland belt between the coastal plains and the Western Ghats. Like much of this region, it is less a single town than a settled landscape. Houses, places of worship, schools and small commercial junctions spread along the roads rather than packing into one dense centre.
This gives Iramallūr an unusual look on a map. There is no rigid grid. Roads wind across low hills and between paddy land and plantations, meeting at junctions where shops gather. Narrow lanes branch off to individual homesteads, and small streams appear between them. The pattern is fine, irregular and continuous, typical of Kerala's semi-rural settlement.
An Iramallūr map poster turns that intricate network into a delicate line drawing that, framed, can look almost like the veins of a leaf. It is especially meaningful for people from the area who now live and work elsewhere. It also suits families who want a record of the lanes and junctions around their house.

Dispersed homesteads
Houses sit on their own plots among trees and gardens and are reached by short lanes. The map therefore shows a fine scattering of branches rather than a dense block of streets.
Green midland setting
Plantations, paddy land and small watercourses fill the spaces between roads. They give the map generous open areas that balance its detailed lanes.
