Izluchinsk Map Poster & Print
Izluchinsk lies in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, in the oil-producing region of Western Siberia, not far from Nizhnevartovsk. Its name echoes the Russian word for a river bend. From above, the settlement is compact and clearly planned, with apartment blocks arranged in regular groups and wide streets between them.
The surrounding landscape is the West Siberian lowland: flat, wet and scattered with lakes, marshes and winding river channels. The settlement appears as a neat, geometric shape set within this irregular natural pattern. Roads lead out toward industrial sites and toward Nizhnevartovsk, crossing wetland on long, straight alignments.
An Izluchinsk map poster captures that contrast between planned town and wild terrain: ordered blocks, straight roads and the curving water around them. It is a personal piece for people who grew up in the north or spent years working there, and who want to remember a place shaped by its unusual setting.
