Japaratuba Map Poster & Print
Japaratuba sits in the interior of Sergipe, in north-eastern Brazil, a short distance inland from the Atlantic coast. On a map the town is a compact cluster of streets that gives way quickly to the rural land around it. The river that shares its name runs through the wider municipality toward the sea and sets the direction of the valley.
The street plan follows a pattern common to small towns in the Brazilian Northeast. There is a central square with a church, a few main streets running out from it, and newer blocks added along the roads that leave town. Fields, pasture and scattered tracks fill the land between the built-up area and the neighbouring municipalities, so the edge of town shows clearly.
A Japaratuba map poster shows the town at a scale where each street can be followed from end to end. The centre is dense, the outskirts are sparse, and the country roads fan out toward the coast and the rest of Sergipe. In black and white, that simple arrangement comes across as a clear, balanced drawing.

Roads into the countryside
Several roads run outward from the centre to farms and nearby towns, drawing long single lines across the empty space beyond the last houses.
