Colonial centre
The oldest part of town follows the bends and slopes of an eighteenth-century mining settlement. Its uneven street pattern contrasts with the more regular grid added later.

Jaraguá Map Poster & Print
Jaraguá is a town in the state of Goiás in central Brazil, founded during the eighteenth-century gold cycle that brought settlers deep into the interior. Its oldest streets, near the historic church square, follow the irregular lines of a colonial mining settlement, while later districts expanded in a more regular grid across the gentler ground nearby.
The Serra de Jaraguá rises close to the town, and the terrain gives the map its shape: the urban area spreads where the land is flatter, and roads curve where the slopes begin. Around the town, the savanna landscape of the Cerrado, now largely farmland, surrounds the built-up area.
A Jaraguá map poster captures that meeting of old and new, of uneven colonial lanes and straight modern blocks, framed by rising ground. The overall outline is irregular and elongated, which gives the print a distinctive, grounded character that feels very different from the flat grids of Brazil's coastal plains.

Serra de Jaraguá
The mountain range near the town shapes where streets can run. On the map the urban area stops or bends where the ground rises, giving the outline its irregular edge.
Modern grid
Newer districts extend in straighter blocks across the flatter land, forming a clean pattern that frames the older centre and fills much of the print with a steady rhythm.
