Dense lane network
Narrow residential lanes pack the neighbourhood with a fine, irregular mesh. It is typical of areas in Hyderabad that grew plot by plot instead of from a single plan.

Jilādiguda Map Poster & Print
Jilādiguda is a neighbourhood on the southeastern side of Hyderabad, in Telangana, within the large urban area that has spread out from the old city over recent decades. From above, the area is dense and fine-grained. Narrow lanes and small plots fill the spaces between a few wider roads that carry traffic towards the city centre and the outer suburbs.
Hyderabad sits on the Deccan Plateau, where the ground is marked by granite outcrops and the city is dotted with lakes, known locally as tanks and cheruvus. In the surrounding area, these features break the built-up pattern with irregular open spaces. The street network adapts around them, bending and branching instead of following a single grid.
A Jilādiguda map poster shows everyday Hyderabad at close range: a tight mesh of residential lanes, the arterial roads that frame them and open patches of water and rock. It is a detailed image that rewards close attention. Anyone who has walked these streets will recognise the particular turns of their own route home.

Arterial roads
A few wider roads frame the neighbourhood and carry traffic towards the city centre and outer suburbs. They are the strongest lines in the composition.
Deccan terrain
Nearby lakes and rocky ground, features of the Deccan Plateau, create open shapes in the dense urban fabric. The streets bend around them.
