Kaiserslautern Map Poster & Print
Kaiserslautern lies in Rhineland-Palatinate, in a valley on the northern edge of the Palatinate Forest. On a map, the city is a dense urban area surrounded by forest on almost every side, with hills rising close to the centre. Main roads leave through valleys, and the Autobahn passes to the north.
The city is best known for football. 1. FC Kaiserslautern plays at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion on the Betzenberg, a hill overlooking the centre. The Emperor Frederick Barbarossa built a palace here in the twelfth century, and parts of its remains still survive. Kaiserslautern also has a large American military community, linked to the nearby Ramstein Air Base, and a technical university.
A Kaiserslautern map poster shows a compact city set in a forest. The streets are dense in the centre and thin out towards the wooded hills, while the Betzenberg stands clearly above the old town. It suits football fans, students and American families who lived here during a posting.

Palatinate Forest edge
Woodland surrounds the city on nearly all sides, especially to the south. The poster shows the built-up area as a clear island inside a large forested landscape.
Barbarossa palace
Remains of Frederick Barbarossa's twelfth-century palace are in the old town. They are a reminder that the city's history goes back far beyond its modern industrial and military role.

Zakaj Kaiserslautern
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For football fans, the Betzenberg is reason enough, and many American families remember Kaiserslautern from a military posting. A map poster can mark those years, a degree at the university or simply a home near the forest.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be edited, so the poster can include a name, a date or a match. It comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
