Old town lanes
Narrow, winding streets in the centre form a dense cluster on the map, the kind of organic pattern that develops over generations rather than being drawn to a plan.

Kathlāl Map Poster & Print
Kathlāl is a town in the Kheda district of Gujarat, lying on the broad alluvial plain east of Ahmedabad. The country around it is flat and intensively farmed, and the town serves as a local centre for surrounding villages, with markets, schools and administrative offices. Its position on a main road running east from the Ahmedabad region has shaped much of its growth.
From above, the older part of town shows the close, irregular lanes typical of Gujarati market settlements, where houses crowd together and streets turn at short intervals. Newer development spreads outward along the road in looser plots. Village tanks, a common feature of this landscape, show up as small rounded shapes among the fields.
A Kathlāl map poster is a study in contrasts at small scale: a tight knot of streets at the centre, straight lines of road leading away, and a wide field of farmland pattern at the edges. It is an understated subject that rewards a close look, particularly for anyone who knows which lane leads home.

Main road
A straight road passes through the town and continues across the plain, giving the composition a clear axis and marking where most of the newer building has grown.
Farmland edges
Beyond the built-up area, field boundaries, tracks and small water bodies create a fine, open texture that frames the town against the flat Kheda countryside.
