Branching lanes
Narrow roads fork repeatedly between house plots and groves, giving the map a lace-like texture that looks very different from planned towns.

Kattanam Map Poster & Print
Kattanam is a town in the Alappuzha district of Kerala, in the low, water-rich country of the state's central coast. From above it does not look like a grid city. Instead, lanes wind between house plots and coconut groves, and they follow old property lines and the gentle slope of the land more than any plan.
The main road through Kattanam links it to nearby towns. Smaller paths leave it in every direction and fork again and again before disappearing into the greenery. On a black-and-white map the result looks like the veins of a leaf, dense near the junctions and thin at the edges.
A Kattanam map poster captures that fine, branching pattern, typical of the settled countryside in this part of Kerala, where villages run into each other without clear edges. The composition is intricate, with no single landmark dominating it. That makes it a subtle, detailed print for anyone who knows the place from the ground.

Main road spine
A through road carries most of the traffic, and the rest of the network hangs from it. In print it is the clearest, most confident line in the frame.
Continuous settlement
Houses and lanes run on past the town's nominal limits into neighbouring villages, so the map fills edge to edge with fine detail.
