Ridge-top roads
The main routes follow the higher, drier ground of the midland hills, so the heaviest lines on the poster trace the shape of the land rather than a planned layout.

Kāttipparutti Map Poster & Print
Kāttipparutti lies in the Malappuram area of northern Kerala, in the rolling midland country between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea coast. Like much of this part of Kerala, it is not a compact town but a spread of homes, shops and institutions along roads that follow the gentle ridges. Low-lying fields and streams fill the ground between them.
The settlement pattern here is typical of Kerala, where population is dense yet dispersed and the line between village and town is hard to draw. On a map this produces a web of lanes that branch, loop and rejoin rather than a grid. Small junctions act as local centres, and the green of coconut groves and paddy is suggested by open space.
A Kāttipparutti map poster captures that organic network in fine black lines. Main roads carry the eye through the frame, secondary lanes curl off toward houses on higher ground, and watercourses trace the valley floors. The result is soft and intricate, closer to a botanical drawing than to the rigid plan of a planned city.

Branching lanes
Countless small lanes split off from the main roads to reach homes and farms, forming a fine, tree-like network that fills the frame with delicate detail.
Valley fields and streams
Low ground between the ridges holds paddy land and small streams, which appear as open space and thin water lines weaving through the settlement.
