Near the Marmara
The Sea of Marmara lies just to the south. A strip of shoreline can be brought into the frame to give the map a clear edge and a sense of direction.

Kavaklı Map Poster & Print
Kavaklı lies in the western part of Istanbul province, far from the historic peninsula, on the stretch of the Thracian coast where the city gives way to smaller towns and farmland. It sits just inland from the Sea of Marmara, among gentle slopes that drain toward the shore, and feels a long way from the city's famous centre.
Like much of outer Istanbul, the area has grown quickly in recent decades. From above, that growth shows as parcels of regular streets and apartment blocks next to older, more irregular lanes and farm plots. The edges are still being filled in, so the map shows the point where town meets countryside.
A Kavaklı map poster captures that in-between quality. Straight residential streets are laid out in blocks and terraces, and main roads lead toward the coast and the highways running east to the city. The open spaces between built areas give the eye room to rest. It shows Istanbul at its outskirts, not its famous core.

Planned blocks
Newer residential areas follow regular, straight-edged layouts. They produce a crisp pattern of parallel streets that contrasts with the older, looser paths around them.
Open land
Fields and empty plots surround and break up the built area. These pale spaces make the street pattern stand out more clearly in print.

Zakaj Kavaklı
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many people moved to Istanbul's western districts for more space, sea air or a new home, and Kavaklı is the kind of place that holds those milestones. A map of it records where that chapter began, down to the street you first lived on.
Add a title, subtitle and your own coordinates line, perhaps the street and the year you moved in. Then pick a style: Classic black & white for clarity, Noir for a dark wall, Paper for warmth, Blueprint for a technical look or Sand for a softer tone.
