Kempston Map Poster & Print
Kempston lies immediately southwest of Bedford, with the River Great Ouse curving along its northern side. On a map the two towns run into one another without a clear break, yet Kempston keeps its own shape. Older terraced streets lie toward the river, larger post-war and later housing estates spread south, and open farmland begins at the edge of the built-up area.
The town has long military associations. The Keep, the castle-like brick gatehouse of the former Kempston Barracks, once the depot of the Bedfordshire Regiment, remains a local landmark. Kempston grew from a scattering of separate hamlets rather than a single centre, which helps explain why its street pattern feels more spread out than that of its neighbour.
A Kempston map poster captures the town within its surroundings: the meanders of the Great Ouse, the riverside meadows and parks, the dense residential streets and the country lanes leading out toward nearby villages. It is a clear, understated composition that suits a place defined by everyday streets and its quiet stretch of river.

The Keep
The castle-like building of the former Kempston Barracks, once the depot of the Bedfordshire Regiment, stands among the town's streets as a small but distinctive landmark.
Housing estates
South of the older streets, the curving closes and crescents of newer estates create a looser, more organic pattern than the straight terraces nearer the river.

Zakaj Kempston
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Kempston is often overshadowed on maps by Bedford next door, so a poster centred on its own streets makes a thoughtful gift for residents, first-time buyers moving into the estates or families who have lived there for generations.
Change the title and subtitle, keep the coordinates or add a special date, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download all six sizes, including A3 and A2, as HD files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
