Hill-country roads
Roads leaving Kouibly curve to follow the terrain of the Montagnes district. They make a winding, irregular set of lines that reflects the hilly ground rather than a planned grid.

Kouibly Map Poster & Print
Kouibly is a town in the Montagnes district of western Ivory Coast, in the green, hilly country around Man and Duékoué. On a map it appears as a modest street network set among plantations and patches of forest, with roads leading out to villages in the surrounding hills. Few places in the region are mapped in detail, so the town's own streets carry the whole composition.
Western Ivory Coast is one of the country's main farming areas, where cocoa and coffee grow in a humid climate. From above, farmland and woodland mix in irregular patches. Unpaved roads, typically red laterite on the ground, trace ridges and valleys rather than running in straight lines from one settlement to the next.
A Kouibly map poster shows the town at a human scale: a central group of streets, residential quarters spreading along the main roads, and the tracks that connect it to the countryside around it. In black and white, the hills are implied by the bending lines rather than drawn.

Compact centre
The town's core is a small group of streets where most buildings and activity are concentrated. It is clearly set apart from the farmland around it.
Plantation mosaic
Around the town, cocoa and coffee plots and patches of forest form an uneven mosaic. On the map this appears as open space broken by tracks and scattered hamlets.

Zakaj Kouibly
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
A poster of Kouibly suits anyone with roots in the region who now lives in Abidjan, in Europe or elsewhere. It shows a specific, recognisable place drawn street by street, not a general picture of the country.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be changed, so the poster can carry a family name or an important date. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and print it yourself from the $9 HD files.
