Smelter-town layout
The town took shape around its copper works, so the industrial area is a large, distinct block on the map, clearly separated from the residential streets that grew up to house its workers.

Krasnoural’sk Map Poster & Print
Krasnoural’sk sits on the eastern side of the Middle Urals in Sverdlovsk Oblast. The town grew up in the Soviet period around a copper smelter. From above it reads as a tight settlement with forest on almost every side, and the industrial zone forms a large, angular block set apart from the housing. Streets run in fairly regular lines, broken here and there by the curve of a river valley.
The residential districts show the planning habits of their decades: wide rectangular blocks of apartment buildings, a few straight avenues that carry most of the traffic, and pockets of low private houses where the grid loosens. Rail spurs run toward the works, and their long, gentle arcs lay a second geometry over the first. On a Krasnoural’sk map poster, those arcs are often the lines people recognise first.
Beyond the edge of town the drawing thins out quickly. Roads become single threads leading toward neighbouring settlements, and the surrounding taiga appears as open space, marked only by tracks and scattered water. Urals mining towns often have this contrast between a dense core and an almost empty frame. It makes the place easy to read at a glance, even for someone who has never been there.

Rail spurs
Curving railway lines approach the works and divide parts of the town. Their long, smooth arcs contrast with the right angles of the apartment blocks around them.
Forest edge
Dense taiga surrounds the settlement, so the map ends abruptly where the buildings stop. The town stands out as a clear, compact figure in an otherwise quiet field.

Zakaj Krasnoural’sk
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For people who grew up here or worked at the plant, this map records a place that rarely appears on printed maps at all. It suits a hallway or study, and a dense core in open space still looks good at the smaller print sizes.
You can set your own title and subtitle, change the coordinates line to a street or date that matters, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
