The main line crossing the town cuts a long, unbroken stroke through the map, with the station area forming a natural focus for the street pattern.

Kyurdarmir Map Poster & Print
Kyurdarmir (Kürdəmir) is the centre of Kurdamir District in central Azerbaijan. It sits on the low, level ground of the Shirvan plain, part of the wide lowland drained by the Kura river. With almost no relief to bend them, the streets run in a fairly regular pattern, and the land around town is divided into long, rectangular plots.
The railway linking Baku with the west of the country passes through the town, and on a map it shows as a firm straight line against the softer street grid. Irrigation channels and field edges extend the geometry outwards, so the whole sheet has a measured, almost drafted look.
A Kyurdarmir map poster suits that restraint. There are no coastlines or hills to take over the composition. It is a study of lines: the railway, the main roads, the evenly spaced blocks of a lowland town, and the farmland stretching off towards the horizon.

Regular blocks
On such level ground the town's streets fall into a largely rectilinear grid, giving the centre an even, readable texture.
Irrigated fields
Outside the town, straight field boundaries and channels divide the plain into long strips, carrying the grid far beyond the built-up area.

Zakaj Kyurdarmir
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Kyurdarmir means something particular to people who grew up on the Shirvan plain or have roots in the district. A map of its straight streets and the railway through town is a simple, personal way to mark that tie.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps in the spelling your family uses, and add a date. Then choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The flat, linear layout looks especially crisp in Blueprint.
