Dense town core
The centre is packed with narrow lanes and small plots, and this fine-grained pattern becomes a dark, detailed knot at the heart of the poster.

Lālganj Map Poster & Print
Lālganj is a town in eastern Uttar Pradesh, north of Prayagraj, on the broad and almost level plain drained by the Ganges and its tributaries. Several towns in India share the name. This one sits in a mostly agricultural area and serves the surrounding villages as a local centre for shopping, schooling and administration.
From above, the town is a dense cluster of narrow lanes and closely packed buildings, with a main road carrying most of the commerce. The edges are soft: houses give way gradually to fields, groves, ponds and village settlements. Because the land is so flat, roads run long and fairly straight and approach the town from several directions like spokes.
A Lālganj map poster shows the character of a small north Indian town: a tight centre, a web of lanes and a wide rural surround. In black and white the dense core stands out sharply against the open plain, and small village ponds appear as neat dots across the landscape.

Radiating roads
Roads reach the town from several directions across the flat plain. Their long straight lines tie Lālganj to neighbouring villages and market towns.
Ponds and fields
Village ponds and irregular field boundaries surround the built-up area and give the outer parts of the map a scattered, gentle texture.
