Main through-roads
A few important roads cross the area and link it to the coast and other towns. They form the strongest lines on the poster, with everything else branching off.

Lamin Map Poster & Print
Lamin is in the western part of the Gambia, a narrow country that follows the Gambia River from the Atlantic inland. The area around the river's mouth is low, flat and green, and from above Lamin appears as a spread of streets and compounds among trees, farmland and wetland rather than a tightly defined centre.
Growth in this part of the country has been fast, and the map shows it: a few main roads carry traffic, while newer lanes branch off in straight lines to reach house plots. Older parts of the town have more irregular paths, grown gradually around compounds and fields.
A Lamin map poster captures that spreading pattern. The main roads give it structure, the network of lanes fills the space in between, and the green and wet land around the edges shows through as open paper.

New plot lanes
Newer areas are laid out with straight lanes serving rows of house plots. Their regular pattern stands out against the looser older paths.
Low green edges
Farmland, trees and wet ground surround the built-up area. On the map they create open spaces that soften the edges of the town.
