Zuid-Willemsvaart
The canal cuts through Lanaken in a remarkably straight line. It divides the map with a clean, strong stroke and gives the whole design structure.

Lanaken Map Poster & Print
Lanaken is in the province of Limburg, in Flanders, on the Belgian side of the border with the Netherlands. Maastricht lies just across the frontier. On the map, the town and its sub-villages form a loose chain of settlements, linked by roads that run towards the Dutch city and deeper into Belgium.
The Zuid-Willemsvaart canal runs through the municipality in a long, straight line and is the strongest single feature on the map. To the east, the Meuse and its floodplain form the national border. To the west, the landscape rises towards the heath and woods of the Hoge Kempen National Park. Pietersheim Castle, with its surrounding parkland, sits on the edge of that green area.
A Lanaken map poster brings together water, woodland and border town. The canal's precise line meets the looser layout of residential streets, the broad river valley and the forest to the west. The design is layered and calm, and it suits a place that sits comfortably between two countries.

Meuse border
To the east, the Meuse and its floodplain mark the border with the Netherlands. The broad, curving shapes contrast with the canal's straight course.
Kempen woodland
To the west, the land becomes wooded heath near the Hoge Kempen National Park. Paths and forest roads add a delicate, sparse texture to the print.

Zakaj Lanaken
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Lanaken suits people who cross the border every day for work, study or shopping in Maastricht. It also suits families who value its quiet streets and nearby woods. A map of it shows how a small Flemish town sits right beside a Dutch city, and makes that connection visible on the wall.
