Las Rosas Map Poster & Print
Las Rosas is a town and municipality in the central highlands of Chiapas, in southern Mexico, between the Comitán plateau and the valley of the Grijalva River. Like many towns in the region, it is organised around a regular grid of blocks extending from a central plaza and church. The streets become less regular toward the edges.
Beyond the grid, the land opens into rolling hills, cornfields and pasture, crossed by rural roads that connect outlying communities to the town. The municipality is home to Tzeltal communities as well as mestizo residents. Farming remains central to local life, and the map shows it in the extent of cultivated land around the town.
A Las Rosas map poster shows a town with clear, orderly geometry set against irregular terrain. The straight streets of the centre contrast with the winding roads outside it, and that tension between plan and landscape gives the composition its character. It is a precise, understated image of a highland town.

Main plaza
The central square sits at the heart of the grid. It is the traditional focal point of the town and a natural anchor for the poster's composition.
Highland roads
Country roads leave the town and follow ridges and valleys toward nearby communities, adding curving lines to the edges of the frame.
