Lengshuijiang is a county-level city in central Hunan, within the prefecture of Loudi. Its growth is tied to mining: the nearby Xikuangshan deposit has long been one of the largest antimony sources in the world, earning the area the nickname of antimony capital. The Zi River passes through the area, and the town spreads across the valley floor and onto surrounding slopes.
