Compact centre
The older core forms a dense patch of short, closely spaced streets, set apart on the map from the broader avenues and larger blocks of the districts that have grown around it.

Lianjiang Map Poster & Print
Lianjiang is a county-level city in the far west of Guangdong, administered by Zhanjiang and close to the provincial border with Guangxi. On the map the urban area appears as a compact centre of older, closely packed streets, with wider modern avenues extending outward into a broad landscape of low hills, cultivated fields and scattered villages.
A river runs past the city and provides the main natural line in an otherwise gently rolling setting. Newer districts have grown along the principal roads, giving the built-up area an uneven, slightly elongated outline. Beyond it, smaller watercourses, farm tracks and village clusters create a finer, more scattered texture that fills the edges of the frame.
A Lianjiang map poster suits those who know the city personally. Rather than a set of famous landmarks, it shows the everyday structure of the place: the main roads leading out toward Zhanjiang and Guangxi, the blocks of the town centre, the bend of the river and the fields that begin where the streets end. It is a portrait of home rather than of a tourist destination.

The river
A river winds past the urban area and gives the composition its one strong natural curve, a soft counterpoint to the straighter lines of the roads.
Town and country
At the edges of the city the street pattern breaks up into fields, hills and village clusters, so the poster shows clearly where urban Lianjiang ends and the countryside begins.
