Town centre
A compact cluster of streets marks the centre, where older lanes meet newer avenues. It is the densest point on a map otherwise dominated by open land.

Liaolan Map Poster & Print
Liaolan is a town in the countryside of eastern Shandong, within the wider area administered from Qingdao. It sits on the gently rolling plains of the Jiaodong region, and from above the landscape is mostly agricultural. Fields are laid out in long strips, small villages appear at regular intervals and straight roads connect them. The town itself forms a denser knot of streets within this pattern.
Like many towns in rural China, Liaolan combines an older core of lanes and low-rise houses with newer avenues, apartment blocks and industrial yards added in recent decades. The main roads run through the centre and continue out into the fields, while streams and irrigation channels follow the natural fall of the land. The overall picture is orderly and open.
A Liaolan map poster offers a rare view of a place seldom mapped outside China, focusing on the pattern of roads, villages and farmland that define it. In monochrome, the geometry of the fields becomes a quiet background for the town itself. It is a map for those who live here, grew up here or keep family ties to the area.

Village network
Small villages are scattered evenly across the plain, each a tight group of buildings linked by straight roads, forming a repeated pattern across the countryside.
Field strips
Long, narrow agricultural plots surround the town, their parallel boundaries creating a fine linear texture that gives the whole map a calm, structured feel.
