Lieto Map Poster & Print
Lieto is a municipality in Southwest Finland, just east of Turku. The Aura river runs through it and draws a narrow, winding line across the landscape before continuing on to the sea at Turku. The main centre is a compact cluster of streets and residential areas, with open farmland and patches of forest spreading around it.
Some of the most significant history is on the river itself. The Vanhalinna hillfort rises above the Aura. It was an important fortified site long before Turku became the main town in the region, and today it is a museum. On the map, the hill and the river beside it form a clear, recognisable point in the countryside.
A Lieto map poster offers a view of Finnish landscape that is both settled and open. It shows a modest centre, the gentle meanders of the Aura, long rural roads and wide fields, all set out with the restraint that Scandinavian design is known for.

Fields and forest
