Valley-floor layout
The town stretches along the level ground of its valley, giving the map an elongated shape rather than a compact centre.

Liufeng Map Poster & Print
Liufeng lies in southeastern Gansu, a region where the loess plateau breaks into valleys, ridges and terraced slopes. On a map a place like this is shaped less by planning than by relief: the town follows the flatter ground along the valley, and the hills around it push the built-up area into a long, narrow form.
Roads follow the same logic. The main route runs along the valley, with shorter streets branching towards the slopes, and farm tracks climb away into the surrounding terraces. The resulting street pattern is linear and slightly irregular, bending wherever the land does.
A Liufeng map poster turns this landscape into clean lines. The valley road becomes a spine, the side streets become ribs, and the empty space around them hints at the hills that give the place its shape. It is a modest, quiet composition that reflects the terrain of this part of northwest China.

Main road spine
One principal road runs through the settlement and carries the side streets off it like branches, the clearest line on the poster.
Loess hills
Surrounding slopes are crossed only by thin tracks, leaving wide quiet areas that frame the streets and suggest the terraced country beyond.
