Plain-country geometry
With almost no relief to follow, roads and channels run straight for long distances. They give the outer parts of the poster a calm grid of rectangles and crossings.

Liuxin Map Poster & Print
Liuxin lies in the Xuzhou area of northern Jiangsu, on the broad, low plain that covers much of this corner of the province. The ground is flat enough that roads, drainage channels and field boundaries run in long straight lines. On a map, the town appears as a denser knot of streets where several of those lines meet.
Around the centre, the older lanes are short and irregular, while newer development follows a looser grid of wider streets and larger blocks. Beyond them the pattern opens into farmland and villages, joined by country roads and water channels. What gives the image its character is the contrast between the compact core and the measured geometry of the surrounding plain.
Liuxin sits within easy reach of Xuzhou, long one of the main transport hubs of northern Jiangsu, and several roads on the map lead toward the larger city. A Liuxin map poster is a modest, precise portrait of a place that rarely appears in guidebooks but means a great deal to the people who come from it.

Compact town core
The centre shows a tighter mesh of short streets and small blocks. On the print it is a darker area that marks where the town first grew up.
Water channels
Irrigation and drainage channels cross the surrounding plain. They are drawn as thin lines that echo the road network and add a quiet second layer to the map.

Zakaj Liuxin
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For people from Liuxin who now live in Xuzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai or further away, a map of the hometown is a quiet reminder of where things started. It sits well in a study or hallway, where the simple lines do not compete with the room.
You choose the title and subtitle, whether that is the town name, a family name or a year, and you can change the coordinates line too. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as a digital file or a printed poster.
