Lettered grid
The central streets follow a regular grid, with a run of lettered streets that makes the downtown easy to read and gives the poster a strong, orderly rhythm of parallel lines.

Lompoc Map Poster & Print
Lompoc sits in the Lompoc Valley on California's Central Coast, a few miles inland from the Pacific in Santa Barbara County. The town is laid out on an orderly grid, much of it organised around a sequence of lettered streets, and the pattern reads clearly from above as a neat block of right angles set against softer hills to the north and south.
The Santa Ynez River passes along the northern side of the town on its way to the ocean, and the valley floor around it has long been known for flower-seed farming, which earned Lompoc a reputation as a flower-seed capital. Northeast of town, La Purísima Mission, founded in 1787, is now a state historic park with open grounds and trails.
To the northwest lies Vandenberg Space Force Base, whose rocket launches are often visible from the valley, and downtown walls carry a series of large outdoor murals. A Lompoc map poster frames the compact grid, the river, the farm parcels stretching west and the road toward the coast in a single calm composition.

Santa Ynez River
The river bends along the town's northern edge before continuing west toward the Pacific, adding a single loose curve to an otherwise rectilinear map of streets and fields.
Valley fields
West of town the valley floor is divided into large agricultural parcels, historically used for flower seed, forming broad geometric blocks between the town and the coast.

Zakaj Lompoc
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Lompoc tends to stay with people: those posted to Vandenberg, families who farmed the valley, visitors who came for the fields in bloom. A map of the grid and the river is a quiet reminder of a particular stretch of coast.
You can set your own title and subtitle, perhaps a posting date or a family name, and adjust the coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download the HD files for $9 or order a framed print.
