Lugulu Map Poster & Print
Lugulu is a locality in Busia County, in the far west of Kenya near the border with Uganda. This is a green, fertile part of the country, within the wider Lake Victoria basin, and from above the landscape is a patchwork of small farms, homesteads and footpaths rather than a dense urban grid. Roads connect trading centres, and the map is defined by how these lines spread across the land.
Because the settlement pattern is dispersed, a map of Lugulu looks quite different from a typical town plan. Clusters of buildings gather at crossroads and markets, while the rest of the area is laced with narrow tracks and field boundaries. A Lugulu map poster turns that pattern into something quiet and graphic, a network of fine lines across open ground.
Streams and small valleys run through the area toward the lowlands near the lake, adding gentle curves to the drawing. There are no large landmarks to dominate the composition, which keeps the attention on the texture of daily life: routes to school, church, market and farm. It is a map about connection rather than monuments.
