Riverfront edge
The town stretches along the bank of a delta channel, and its streets follow the water, giving the map a long, linear shape rather than a round core.

Maubin Map Poster & Print
Maubin lies in the Ayeyarwady Delta, the vast, flat lowland where Myanmar's great river divides into many channels before reaching the sea. The town sits on one of these distributaries, and on a map water is never far away. Streets follow the riverbank, and the built-up area stretches along the channel rather than spreading evenly outward.
It is the administrative centre of Maubin District, west of Yangon, in a region long devoted to rice growing. Beyond the town, the land is laced with smaller waterways, embankments and fields, all nearly level. The rhythm of the delta, with its constant interplay of land and water, is what gives the map its character.
A Maubin map poster reads almost like a study in lines: the broad river, the fine threads of creeks and canals, and the streets gathered along the water's edge. In monochrome, the delta's flatness becomes an advantage, since every channel stands out clearly against the plain. It is a calm, detailed image of a town defined by its river.

Delta channels
Smaller creeks and waterways branch through the surrounding land, creating a fine network of curving lines that is characteristic of the Ayeyarwady Delta.
Paddy land
Outside the town, flat rice-growing land and embankments fill the map with a quiet pattern, framing the settlement against the wider delta.
