McHenry Map Poster & Print
McHenry sits in northern Illinois, about an hour northwest of Chicago, and its map is built around the Fox River. The river runs through the heart of the city, widening in places and pulling the street pattern toward its banks. Older blocks near the water keep a modest grid, while newer neighbourhoods further out loop into curving drives and cul-de-sacs.
North of town the Fox connects to the Chain O'Lakes, a string of linked lakes popular with boaters, and that watery character carries down into McHenry itself. Inlets, channels and small lakes break up the suburban texture. Moraine Hills State Park lies just to the south, and green space softens the edges of the map.
A McHenry map poster is less about a skyline than about a way of life shaped by water. Summer boating, riverside walks and quiet residential streets all show up as lines and shapes on the page. That makes it a natural choice for a lake house, a family room or a gift for someone who has moved away.

Toward the Chain O'Lakes
To the north the river leads into a network of glacial lakes. The channels and shorelines at the top of the map hint at the wider waterway system.
Curving subdivisions
Away from the river, residential areas form the loops and crescents typical of Midwestern suburbs, a softer pattern than the straighter streets of the older centre.

Zakaj McHenry
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
People hang McHenry because it is where weekends on the water, first homes and long family summers happened. The river gives the design a natural focal point, so the poster looks deliberate even in the simplest style.
Personalise the title, add a subtitle such as the year you moved in, and edit the coordinates line. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and order a matte print with an optional wooden frame, or download the files for $9.
