Roads in the hollows
Streets trace the valleys between ridges instead of forming blocks, so the map shows long curving lines with branches, a pattern shaped entirely by the hills.

Meads Map Poster & Print
Meads is a small unincorporated community in northeastern Kentucky, close to the Ohio River and the city of Ashland. It is the kind of place that rarely appears on a wall map, which is exactly why a detailed rendering of it can feel so personal. From above, it belongs to the rolling Appalachian foothills rather than to any grid.
The terrain decides almost everything here. Roads follow the valley floors and curve along the contours of wooded ridges, and houses gather where the ground allows. On the map that produces a loose, organic pattern of lines, with side streets branching off the main routes like tributaries and larger areas of empty space where the hills rise.
A Meads map poster is a quiet, intimate piece. Framed wider, it can take in the bends of the Ohio River and the neighbouring town, placing the community within the wider river valley. Framed close, it becomes a portrait of a few familiar roads, the kind of view that means the most to the people who actually drive them every day.

Open wooded ground
Large stretches without streets mark the forested slopes. In black and white these quiet areas give the composition room to breathe and emphasise the roads that do exist.
Toward the Ohio
A slightly wider frame reaches the Ohio River, whose broad curve adds a strong landmark to the edge of the map and ties the community to its region.

Zakaj Meads
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Maps of small places are almost always bought for personal reasons: a childhood home, a family property, a first house. A poster of Meads records a landscape that commercial prints overlook, drawn from the same map data as any major city.
Add a family name or an address as the title, a year in the subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Sand, and check the free watermarked preview before downloading or ordering a print.
