River-bound island
Wide channels of the Meghna system wrap around the land, giving the map a bold outline. The white water shapes take up much of the frame.

Mehendiganj Map Poster & Print
Mehendiganj lies in the Barisal Division of southern Bangladesh, on land surrounded by the wide rivers of the lower Meghna system. Seen from above, the map is defined by water more than by streets. Great sweeps of river frame the town, and smaller channels and creeks cut through the fields, so the shoreline looks different on every side.
Settlement here follows the higher ground. Roads and footpaths run along embankments, and houses gather into strips and clusters between the waterways. The town centre is modest: a dense core of lanes and a market area, with villages spread across the island around it. River transport has long mattered as much as roads in this part of the delta.
In monochrome, the Mehendiganj map poster becomes a study in contrast. The large blank shapes of the rivers sit against the fine threads of paths and field boundaries. The shoreline gives the frame a strong outline, and the inland lanes add texture. It is a portrait of a place shaped by water, where the land itself shifts from season to season.

Embankment roads
Roads and paths often follow raised ground and embankments. They trace long, gently curving lines across the island instead of forming a regular grid.
Creeks and channels
Narrow waterways branch inland from the main rivers and divide fields and villages. They add a delicate secondary network beneath the lanes.

Zakaj Mehendiganj
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For people from Barisal and the wider delta, and for the many Bangladeshis living abroad, a map of Mehendiganj is a direct link to home. Its river-shaped outline is also striking on its own: a piece of geography that reads almost like an abstract drawing.
Personalise the title and subtitle, keep or edit the coordinates line, and add a date if the place marks a family story. The five styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint shows off the waterways especially well.
