Contour roads
Local roads curve along the slopes and valleys, never quite straight, giving the map an organic, flowing pattern shaped almost entirely by the landscape.

Meinerzhagen Map Poster & Print
Meinerzhagen sits high in the Sauerland in the Märkischer Kreis, and its map is governed by terrain. Streets follow valley floors and hillside contours rather than straight lines, bending around ridges and climbing in switchbacks. The town centre occupies a relatively compact area of gentler ground, while outlying villages sit in the folds of the hills, each connected by a single winding road.
The Volme rises near the town and flows away toward Hagen, and several reservoirs in the surrounding valleys appear on the poster as irregular, branching shapes of water. Dense forest covers much of the land between settlements, which on a black and white map produces large quiet areas that make the roads and villages stand out clearly.
The Sauerland motorway, the A45, passes close to the town, cutting a long, smooth line across the hills that contrasts with the older local roads. Meinerzhagen is also home to a range of manufacturing firms, typical of this part of the region. A Meinerzhagen map poster brings together the hills, water and roads that define life here.

Reservoir shapes
Dammed valleys near the town form lakes with long arms and ragged shorelines, among the most striking graphic elements on the poster.
The A45 line
The Sauerlandlinie motorway sweeps past the town, its long, even curve a clear contrast to the twisting older roads that thread through the hills around it.

Zakaj Meinerzhagen
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For walkers, cyclists and anyone raised in the Sauerland, Meinerzhagen's hills and reservoirs are home ground. A poster of the town keeps them in view, and the title, subtitle and coordinates can be adjusted to name a village, a favourite route or the date of a move.
The forested setting shows well in Sand and Paper, which give the empty areas a gentle tone, while Blueprint makes the water shapes stand out. Classic black and white and Noir complete the choice. Order a printed poster on matte paper, framed or unframed, or download the HD files for $9.
