Melenki Map Poster & Print
Melenki is a small town in the south of Vladimir Oblast, in the gently rolling country between the Oka and the forests of central Russia. From above, it appears as a compact settlement of mostly low-rise streets. Fields and patches of woodland surround it, cut through by the roads leading to Murom and Vladimir.
The small Unzha River, a tributary in the Oka basin, runs through the town. It adds a winding line to an otherwise regular street pattern. The centre has a denser grid of older streets, while private houses with gardens fill the outskirts and spread along the roads out of town.
A Melenki map poster presents this district town with understated clarity. There is the gentle river, a modest grid and wide rural margins. The composition is calm and uncluttered, which suits a place whose appeal lies in its quiet, everyday scale.

Rural surroundings
